Ingredients:
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup of Kraft Calorie Wise Italian dressing
- 1 1/2 pounds of lean beef
- 3/4 cup of Heinz ketchup (divided)
- 1 (120g) package of low-sodium chicken stuffing mix
- 3/4 cup of water
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 374 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
- In a large non-stick skillet, combine the finely chopped onions and Italian dressing. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, or until the onions turn golden brown, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- In a spacious mixing bowl, blend the lean beef, the cooked onion mixture, 1/4 cup of ketchup, the low-sodium chicken stuffing mix, water, and egg whites. Mix thoroughly until well combined. Shape this mixture into a 10×5-inch loaf and place it in a 13×9-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Spread the remaining ketchup on top of the loaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 51-61 minutes, or until the meatloaf is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top. Return it to the oven and bake for an additional 2 minutes or until the cheese has melted and become bubbly.
